My social diary has been somewhat turned on its head this week. Grandpa Meikle was ill yesterday, so couldn't come to see me, so he's coming tomorrow with Granny, and I'll see my new friend Sophie next week instead.
Anyway I've still managed to see a couple of my pals. Harry and Isobel came to visit with Kathy and Jayne, who both had preeclampsia like mummy and were in hospital with her. Harry is the youngest of us, but he wasn't born early like me a
nd Isobel, so he's a lot bigger than us. Harry and Isobel are both eating solid food, and teething. I'm not quite ready for solids yet. As I was very premature, I've got to wait until I'm 5-7 months old (uncorrected age - i.e. from 9th June). So as from 9th November, I could have a little something, like a bit of baby rice,
or a bit of pear puree. But mummy and daddy will wait as long as they can before they give me anything solid, to make sure that my tummy is ready. So I'll carry on breastfeeding for the time being. Mummy has bought me a teething ring, as she suspects that I may be starting to feel a few teeth - I'm chewing my hand a lot and starting to dribble a little bit, so she may be right - we'll just have to wait and see....
