Tuesday 14th August 2007

I have a new friend today. Mummy bought me this lovely teddy bear from the SSNAP charity shop. SSNAP is the charity at the John Radcliffe Hospital which helps premature babies like me. It stands for 'Support for the Sick Newborn and their Parents'. They sell little knitted bears like this to raise money. As you can see its colours are the same as the football team that daddy supports, which is called Aston Villa. I haven't named my bear yet, so I've decided to get you to vote to decide what to call him. Check out the voting option on the left handside of my blog! Today the consultant came round to see me, and decided that I should come off my sats monitor this afternoon, and go onto an apnoea mat to see how I am. I'll go back on my sats monitor through tonight, but if I don't have any desats overnight then I'll be off it for good. That means that I may be able to go into the flat over the weekend - hurrah. I've still got my reflux, but mummy and daddy will just need to keep giving me my medication once I get home.

Harriet, are you sure Aston Villa is the right team for you? Mind you, they do have nice colours!
Good luck with the sats tonight, then throw away that pesky monitor.

Hi Harriet

A friend called Bridget, who knew Mummy when she lived in Solihull, was round here today and I showed her your blog. She went right back to the start of it when you were first born and she thinks you have made amazing progress since then. She sends you her love and hopes you will be home soon.

Good luck with your sats.

Love Phil
