Sunday 19th August 2007

Well the great day is here - it's homecoming day. Mummy and daddy took me home just after lunch. I had my milk and then they strapped me into my car seat. I said goodbye to my friends Oscar, Gene and Henry and to the nurses on duty today - Karen, Jane and Charlotte. I didn't see much on the way home as i was fast asleep, but I woke up when I got back and played with daddy on my beanbag again whilst mummy went to the supermarket to stock up with supplies. I've got a lovely new moses basket to sleep in, and I've seen my nursery, which I like very much. I've got a mobile which plays music, and my nursery is full of brightly coloured things to catch my eye. It's the start of a whole new adventure. I'll miss all the lovely nurses and doctors at the hospital, they've all been so kind and have helped me so much, but it's time to leave now. I've been at the hospital for 71 days, and now I'm looking forward to having fun with mummy and daddy at home. I may not write in my diary every day now, as I'll be very busy playing at home, but I'll still let you know what I'm up to as much as I can, when I've got a moment! Anyway - I'm off to have my first bath at home. My cousin Daniel has lent me his bath, so thank you Daniel. I'm looking forward to a week at home with mummy and daddy, before daddy goes back to work.

Harriet, we are so proud of you, and Mummy and Daddy too, and thrilled to see today that you are now home. We think you are a wonderful, strong little girl and hope to see you sometime. We have been away in a Caravan with 2 of our grandchildren, and just returned today - to be greeted by your wonderful news. CONGRATULATION! All of you!
Love, Rosie and David

Dear Harriet,

I've read your blog every morning but it's my first time leaving a comment.

I'm so pleased you're finally home with Mummy and Daddy and can't wait to come and see you soon and give you a big cuddle.

Lots of love

Jenny xx(Godmother to be - hope I do a good job!)

Congrats on your big day Harriet and thanks for all the best wishes for me, I need them in bucket fulls. But I promise someday I will be able to emulate you and achieve what you have achieved. Meanwhile enjoy these precious moments.
